Your symptoms
You may be asked when the problem started, whether it is occasional or persistent, whether erections occur at other times and whether pain, curvature or other changes are present.
Your health history
Heart disease, diabetes, blood pressure, neurological conditions, kidney or liver problems, recent surgery and previous medication reactions can all affect the care plan.
Your medications and substances
The clinician needs a complete list—including nitrates, blood-pressure treatment, prostate medication, supplements and recreational poppers—because omissions can create serious risk.
Why these questions are required
The questions give the physician enough information to make a prescribing decision and determine when another assessment is needed.
